4 Ways to Leverage Survey Results with HubSpot and SurveyMonkey

Posted by Elyse Flynn Meyer | 2 Minutes to Read

SurveyMonkey is the world's leading provider of web-based survey solutions, trusted by millions of companies, organizations, and individuals to gather the insights they need to make more informed decisions, not just about marketing but overall business decisions. We have used the SurveyMonkey and HubSpot integration with many of our clients. It is an incredibly powerful tool to survey not only your customers but also your prospects.  If you use both HubSpot and SurveyMonkey, you can start to get powerful survey results that propel your marketing efforts.

Here are 4 ways you can use the SurveyMonkey and HubSpot integration:

This integration brings surveys into your inbound marketing strategy. This enables you to view survey responses within your contact database and segment contacts based on their responses. So how can you start to use this integration immediately?

  • Gather Additional Information: You can use surveys to gather data for things like eBooks, industry reports, and more. Simply segment your database in HubSpot for individuals you want to survey, and then trigger the email or automation through your HubSpot account. From there, you can start segmenting those individuals further based on how they complete the survey and their responses.
  • Send Emails Based on Responses: Trigger follow-up emails based on your respondent's net promoter score (NPS) and their customer satisfaction surveys. For example, if a respondent has a high NPS, you may want to alert the account management team to inform them of the happy customer. Similarly, if there is a low NPS, you may want to alert the customer success team to get in touch with this customer.
  • Create Social Monitoring Lists: Based on survey data, create a social inbox monitoring list within your HubSpot account of your happiest or unhappiest customers. Now that these survey responses are in HubSpot, you can start to do a great deal of tracking customer and prospect engagement both with your HubSpot assets and on social media through HubSpot's social monitoring tool.
  • Send Additional Follow-Up Surveys: Send a content preference survey to your database to get an idea of what types of content are best for them. From there, you can utilize smart CTAs and smart lists to ensure survey respondents only get the content types they like best when they visit your website and through email. This will make their prospecting journey more customized, and you will see higher engagement rates.

This integration is available to all HubSpot customers with a SurveyMonkey account.  If you're already a SurveyMonkey user, you can get started by going to your Contact Settings and selecting the integration options.  From there, you can easily integrate SurveyMonkey and HubSpot and start segmenting your data.
